After our jam packed day in New York City for new years eve (from my last post), the next morning we hit the road to go to Philadelphia.
Once we got there we went right to the game! Our first NFL game, watching the Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Field. (neither of our teams; mine: Carolina Panthers, Ray: Seattle Seahawks) was an unreal experience and we hope to see many more games and visit more fields!
It looks so much smaller on TV ....
The first game of many
Time for some supper! Geno's for Philly cheese Steaks, was so good! You have to get a Philly cheese steak in Philly!
Address: 1219 S 9th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147, USA
We then booked into our hotel, it was by far one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at! Its called the "Kimpton Hotel Palomar"
Address: 117 S 17th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
Once we got settle we go ready to explore
We walked to the Rocky Stairs and ran up to the top, which had a huge Christmas tree at the top due to the time of the year. These stairs consist of 72 stone steps before the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Address: Spring Garden St, Philadelphia, PA 19130, USA
On our way back to the hotel we passed a huge museum with mechanical dinosaurs outside wearing their scarfs and mittens.
Once we got back to the hotel I think we all passed out from the crazy busy two days we enjoyed. On our way back to Toronto we made a quick pit stop in Niagara Falls (Canada side) for a quick picture.
Unfortunately you couldn't see the falls that well due to all the fog.
This trip was one for the books :)
