2022- Year of Change

I decided to write this post because this past year deserves to be remembered!!!

I haven't been posting much on Facebook and Instagram and much rather write in this blog.

If people want to read it.. great and if not then you wouldn't have clicked on the link haha.

This past year has been the best year to date. A lot for me has changed both physically and mentally.

So here's a quick recap...

I've wanted my dream truck for a long time now and am so happy I was able to make it happen this year! For sure my favorite vehicle to date :) As a bonus Ares and Loki also love the truck and the back window that rolls down just for them.

I started my first job with Horizon Health that I was able to continue while in school and I look forward to seeing where it leads me in the future.

Ray and I kept busy over the year with some renos to the house - with the help of many amazing people, we can't thank you all enough you guys helped make it all possible!

- tore down a few trees

- the old shed was dismantled and repurposed as a big chicken coup for family in our neighborhood to make room for our new toy shed

- the old deck was dismantled and used for other projects and as fire wood for friends in our neighborhood

- the old pool dismantled and taken up to a different family member in our neighborhood and is in great use

- with the extra space from removing the pool and deck we built and add on to the house for an entry way, and a new party deck (to be finished in spring)

Oh Yahh.... I got braids twice -- yes I'm obsessed with them and will probably end up getting them twice a year :)

I was able to get up to the trailer park countless times and hang out with my trailer park fam often. That place will always be where I sleep the best and feel the most relaxed, my home away from home <3

While being up there, this year I found a new love for being on the water and going fast. The Sea-doo mom and I won a few years ago came in handy! and now all I want to do is go sea-dooing!

I will say I did feel a bit bad for Ray because once that started if nothing was going on on the weekends... BYE see you Sunday!! (Luckily that didn't bother him at all and was happy I was happy) -- which is good because summer isn't that far away!

Was also able to get up to the camp and go biking which I hope to visit more this winter on the Sleds... if we get snow

After trying literally everything you could probably think of to loss weight over the past few years I finally did it! and kept it off :)

I stopped "dieting" because let's be honest.. that never works or it does but not if you want to keep it off.

I successfully lost 40lbs, and I'm not done yet

I was able to finally look through the "small me" clothes I've been keeping forever and refused to throw them out because I always said "I will fit back into them some day". I was thrilled to be able to go through every piece of clothing I own and to my surprise ended up replacing almost all of my wardrobe :) And packed away the remaining "small me" clothes just waiting to be reopened in this coming year!!

Ray and I were finally able to have our planned wedding after waiting 2 years since the Covid Wedding we had due to the pandemic. Definitely worth the wait to have all our important people there with us on that day. It was a blast and it all fell into place nicely (if you want to see more check out the Comeau Wedding part 2 post).

Lastly, the amount of memories made with the most incredible people is unforgettable <3

I need to start taking more pictures so i can actually fill this part in next year...

As for mentally, it sounds cheesy.. but this past year it felt like I was able to find myself again and started doing more of what I want to do. I've also felt I've gained a lot more independence and confidence this past year.

I'm not sure what made the big change inside but I'm more than happy for it!

Enjoy life don't just live it <3
